Books!

I have given in to another fantastic work-time-wasting sort of device. GoodReads. I'm on as Seventhe, under seventhe.net@gmail.com - come join me and rot my mind with fantastically good books plz.

I'm still updating it. This is hard. Pretty much all I read in college were chemical engineering textbooks on stuff like separation towers. I do not think you guys want to read that! Other than that all I've read in the past 283 years is Robin McKinley. ;)

Anyway. I'm wasting a fantastically awesome amount of time on it this morning. WHEEE.

Looks like a cool site, but it runs a bit slow for me (at least right now).

Also, if I start doing this for real, it's just going to EAT my time and the remains of my brain. Buwah.

Anyway I registered as Enkida (BIG SURPRISE) if there is some kind of friend-adding thing to that. Not going to look into it myself right now, though, since it's a slow site.

Arg this thing so bothersome! It sped up and I started randomly adding books to my list... and then I realized, this is a sure way to go quietly insane. I can't believe how many books I've read, come to think of it. I 'm going to be spending the rest of my natural life doing effin' data entry, I tell you.

I seriously can't remember more than 6 books. Which is obscene. I know I just packed them all. There are like 5 boxes of them sitting around in the basement.

I bet you remember more than you realize. You just need to take one look at the inside or back jacket (or sometimes even the cover) and it will all come back to you.

For example I can barely remember anything about Foster's 'Spellsinger' series, but whenever I hear the lyrics to the Beach Boy's "Sloop John B" it comes back to me, right down to the talking otter, Mudge. ;-)

I have a feeling than when that box gets unpacked there will be a frantic run to GoodReads so that I can prove I'm not a total moron. ;)
