Something about the young pirate captain excited Leila. He was mysterious, confident, and had a certain...quality about him that she just could not put her finger on.
“Your ship against mine, lass?” Faris challenged the pirate queen.
“You’re on!” Leila accepted, and the two ships raced across the ocean.
The wind was strong, and Leila’s ship was making good pace, but Faris’ ship seemed to be moving at an unusual speed.
Leila bellowed at her crew to speed up, but it was all for naught. Faris’ ship met Leila’s at the other port, a half-hour apart.
“How in the hell...?” Leila was stunned.
“I believe you owe me, lass,” Faris spoke with a twinkle in his eye.
Leila crossed her arms in protest. Faris was handsome, in a rather pretty way, but to do this in front of her crew was humiliating. Still, a bet was a bet, and Faris planted a long, wet one on Leila, to the hoots and hollers of both crews.
Faris was quite a good kisser, Leila thought to herself. Strong, but soft.
“Nice lips,” Leila whispered. “Almost like kissing a woman. Not that I’d know what that’s like, of course!”
Faris smirked, knowingly. Poor Leila, she thought to herself, if only she knew.
