The first time you meet Quistis? She giggles. She giggles in the hallway as she tries to imitate Squall's 'Whatever'. Any time I read some kind of fic in which the author tries to use the dramatic "Quistis Trepe did not giggle. She didn't even laugh. Ever"* I kind of WANT TO DIE AND/OR SEND THEM A COPY OF THE GAME.
She's not an Ice Bitch / Ice Queen! And she's not some kind of a-emotional machine! When you're in Galbadia, she's the one who goes to talk to the authorities to get everything taken care of! She's the one out of all of them who probably has the "best" people skills (not a tough contest when you are facing off with Squall).
It's funny, because in comparison Quistis isn't spunky-cute like Selphie or romantic-sweet like Rinoa, so obviously she falls into Ice Queen category?
I don't know. I always saw her as compassionate, feeling, with a great sense of humor, maybe even trying a little too hard to relate to people (Squall, Seifer, even Rinoa), with pretty good interpersonal skills and the ability to both lead AND follow orders. I DO NOT GET THE COLD AND CALCULATING THING.
*Note: I am probably guilty of this somewhere back when I was a young Trepie fanbrat, but I'd like to think I have learned the error of my ways!
