What a first meeting! I do enjoy Balthier following Fran's cues since he's wandered into her con-- and helped provide an excuse for Fran to exit now that she's got the keys. (And the small intimacies of Balthier indicating that he pays attention to how viera move through the world and Fran acknowledges this with her name, and something of how she left the Wood, and then his own measured mention of also having left his home...)

They're clearly going to work well together.
