also, He hasn't lost the habit of obedience to not-quite-commands—i kinda love the subtle implication/worldbuilding here. the Kingsguard et al are kind of a funny group, right? ostensibly military/secret service-y, but the way they give and take orders feels more fluid than that, more like a gang or something—so much told and ordered in glances and authoritative vibes and such. (also i wouldn't contradict cor either, lol)
