Date: 2013-03-06 10:38 pm (UTC)I don't think it sounds harsh to consider letting him go. I mean, hopefully this scares him shitless in the positive way and he just doesn't fuck up again. But your work is Serious Business and extremely detailed every mistake means such a HUGE loss, both monetarily and potentially humanly speaking. If he managed to trump the entire system of checks, that just does not bode well for the future.
You do sound depressed, and it does sound like it's coming from stress. I agree with Drak, if you have time off, it might be good to take it.
(And I felt the same way you did about moving to a house. Like I am EXTREMELY HAPPY about the move, but it was so much work getting moved and we are still settling in and I had to clean the whole fucking apartment and wtf. Happy things should not be more stressful.)
