Okay, I haven't posted anything with substance like... at all this week. That's because my brains are a little bit dead.

This post is basically me asking for a chapstick rec. stfu. Does anybody have a nice smooth moisturizing chapstick they can recommend? Preferably (a) not sticky and (b) not so tasty I'll want to eat it off therefore making my lips more chapped?

I am such a girl.

I use EcoLips, which I love love love. It works really well, and the flavor is fine, but not so tasty that I feel the need to lick it all off. I get it at Whole Foods -- do you have those in Ohio? But you might be able to find it at a more traditional grocery/drug store.

I like Burt's Bees lip balm, myself. It has the added benefit (or problem?) of cooling your lips down, because it has peppermint oil in it. And beeswax.

I have Burt's Bees stuff that actually makes your lips smoother along with adding some color. I love it! :)

The only chapstick that works for me is Vaseline Lip Therapy. I'm allergic to everything else. =|

I use a few different kinds: burt's bees for working, chapstick for going outside in the sun and carmex when it's windy/rainy/before bed because my lips get really dry when I sleep. My favorite is the cherry carmex. mmm, cherry.

The only thing that I like is Blistex-the kind that comes in a little tiny navy blue jar. Even Burts Bee's doesn't give my chapped lips relief.

I've also heard that it's a good idea to use a chapstick that has sun protection, although I probably will never bother with it...it took me years of nagging from health magazines (and the emergence of fine lines) before I finally started wearing sun protection on my face for heaven's sake. Plus, being a clarinet player, having stuff on my lips isn't usually a good thing.

Yes To Carrots is what I use - it smells fantastic but doesn't taste like anything. I have the melon or berry scent, and I love it.

Body Shop's cocoa butter lip balm is also awesome, but it both smells and tastes like chocolate and therefore fails your second criterion.

My favorite is Softlips. You can get it at CVS. It comes in a little teeny tiny skinny tube -- much narrower than a regular chapstick tube. It goes on soft and smooth with no waxy 'cakey' feeling and tastes nice but not good enough to make you chew your own lips off.
