I was sold when I started reading the fic (I totally spoiled myself for the game because I knew I wouldn't be able to play a lot of it), but Phon Coast basically cemented the shit out of it.

Jamie's idea for Space AU that I am stealing: Balthier as Han Solo, Fran as a sexier, more articulate Chewbacca, and you can guess who ends up being Princess Leia.

Be totally, totally tempted. I can even think of a scenario. Vaan and Penelo are space thieves, but Penelo decides she wants to branch off on her own. So she hires herself onto Fran's ship as an apprentice. Hijinks ensue!
