At least I was smart this time and signed up for Google+ using Sev Dragomire instead of [real name]. That was my mistake with Facebook, I think.

Just a heads-up that Google+ is requiring "real names" on profiles, so if they catch you using a pseud, you can get ToSsed, just like on Facebook. It sucks and it's stupid, but it's well- declared policy at this point. See more at googleplus.

Oh, sure, just like I know plenty of people that have gotten by with using pseuds on Facebook. But still, there are already many documented cases of Google shutting down pseud accounts, enough that it sounds like Google is out looking for them.

Hilariously, Sev Dragomire is just as much of an established person online as Jessica K., if not MORE. Sev has a Twitter and a blog and photos and fanfiction and lots of stuff referencing her identity. So what if Jessica has a patent and a real address, she doesn't spend as much time on the internet at that Sev person anyway. ;)

I know, right? I've been on the Internet, in multiple venues, as KJ and/or owlmoose for many years now, just as established as K. J. is, and in many ways even more so (because I've taken pains to make K. J. somewhat invisible to the casual observer, whereas KJ is all over the place). I think it's a stupid decision on Google's part (and Facebook's, too) -- there's this idea that having a pseudonym is the same as being anonymous, but nothing could be farther from the truth.

I'm under [real name] mostly so my sister doesn't bitch at me for being a weirdo. Also it will take a good ten years for my ex to get on there, as it took him a good five to get on Facebook.

Thankfully none of the hip work crowd have bothered to add me to any circles, as it's bad enough they're on facebook (not because I care about them seeing my life, I just don't give a fuck about their hipster yuppie lives... HA HA I SUSPECT THIS WILL BE AN OTA RANT).

Booooooo I refuse to use Google+ because I am a cranky old man when it comes to social networking. I also have way too much attached to google and I don't want to inadvertently connect my everythingaccount to photos of me, even if it IS a fake name.

I actually don't mind using my real name on Google+, since it's so much better from the outset with regards to privacy and controlling who sees what. I wish I had never used my real name with facespace.

I really do wish I'd split off a fake Facebook and a real one; I realize they don't like pseudbooks but I really wish I hadn't gone with my real name right off the bat. oh well.

I haven't joined Google yet for this pseudonym. Well, I can access Google Wave through my yahoo E-mail address, but that's it. I'll either have to make a new Google account for this pseudonym, or just add you with my real life name and accounts and get on there.
