Gaming update!
Jan. 27th, 2013 06:53 pmFFI Gameblog, Part II. Starring my cats. Now with photos!
In other gaming news, I started Dragon Age. In one day's-worth of playing on PS3 I managed to get through and out of Lothering, which had taken me a million years before on PC: I think I know what gaming format I like better! HOWEVER, I might be fucked. I did the mage tower Broken Circle thing first because I wanted Hella Badass Wynne in my party and all, but... I am not sure my poor archer ranger is going to be strong enough to make it through all the solo battles in the Fade. :/ She's great IN A PARTY but she doesn't do nearly enough damage on her own to be effective. AT ALL. I only have one healing potion left and I'm only on the second(?) level of the Fade and there are like 8 more levels to get through before I get my party back.
I read a Walkthrough (and by the way, I dislike games where I *have* to read a walkthrough on my first playthrough to do things? because I am a stubborn fuck and I like being able to figure things out myself) and my ONE saving grace might be getting the one spirit form where you can cast magic -- the spells might be powerful enough to help me out here. If not, I'm going to have to go back to my last previous save in Lothering, losing ALL of my progress in the tower. BALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLS.
TWEWY languishes in my DS, but I can only handle a certain number of games at a time. DA was calling my name okay? I needed something that wasn't also a hand held. :P

Date: 2013-01-28 02:51 am (UTC)If you mean leveling wise, uh. Start off with the mindblast spell and learn everything from that row and then move onto elemental spells. Ice and fire are both useful; however, if you're fighting alongside a group meant to assist you (that aren't party members), be very careful how you aim your spells. They'll still fall to friendly fire from your magic even if you're playing on Easy. I accidentally, hahaha, killed every soldier in Redcliffe that way during one playthrough.
IS THAT WHAT YOU WANTED TO KNOW
I KIND OF JUST THREW WORDS AT YOU
LIKE, "HEY CATCH, I KNOW EVERYTHING"
