Oh, dear Yuletide Writer,

Basically I'll be happy with anything even resembling my prompts, so please don't consider any of this information as "necessary" -- but if you want to read more of my squee about my fandoms, please read on...!

#1 - Dresden Files, Harry and Murphy

Basically, I love Murphy. I also love Harry (if you don't, you probably don't read the books) but Murphy is quickly becoming one of my favorite female characters of all time. I love how she and Harry trust each other, how their worlds overlap in ways the other doesn't understand but they still trust each other above and through all of that.

You can take this to serious places (a new case, them in battle together, whatever!) or hilarious ones (pranks gone wrong, Murph dragging Harry to some event or vice versa); it can be shippy (makeouts are great! porn is awesome!) or completely gen (friendship and trust issues are awesome) or even include other ships (I also adore Murphy/Kincaid, just sayin'). This is very much an easy to please prompt.

#2 - Sunshine, Sunshine, Mel, and Con

Basically what it says on the tin. Or in the prompt. I guess I'd prefer post-story but if there's a scene in-story you're dying to write, obviously I'd love that too! I love the three of them and the mysteries around them and I would love to see your take on the answers to one of those many mysteries. Or even an average day, post-story, how Sunshine manages to balance her worlds and her relationships. Don't have much to say about this one other than GO NUTS, and I'll have fun with whatever you do!

#3 - Vorkosigan Saga, Ekaterin and Cordelia

Okay, so I love Cordelia. She is a badass, and yet so much more - she has changed Barrayar and it has changed her, and her two-way connections with Aral and Gregor and Miles (and Mark!) have changed and been changed and I find it so fascinating how so large and grand a character just manages to be and gosh, I love her.

I also love Ekaterin, and I see she usually manages to get the short end of the stick -- but the way she has such strength buried under so many issues, the way she's Vor through and through and yet realizes how much that limits her: I find it all fascinating and complex and awesome.

And I would love to see these two awesome ladies chatting and being awesome! I mean, Ekaterin could learn a lot from Cordelia, yes... but I think Cordelia might learn some things from Ekaterin, too, even after years of being on Barrayar.

But - don't think you have to get serious; maybe they just have a chat about Miles or Nikki, or whatever you want! I would just like to see them interacting since there isn't much of that in the books.

#4 - Final Fantasy VI, Terra and Celes

Okay, so first and foremost, I do totally ship them. But you don't have to -- at all. :) You can even ship these ladies with other folks, that's cool. (I am an omni-shipper.)

What I find most interesting here are the connections they share, past-present-future, things like serving in the Empire (voluntarily or otherwise), magic and Espers, even their connections and friendships with Locke and Edgar and the others. Anything mystical, or additional magical-meta here would be awesome!

They both also show significant signs of PTSD in the game, so it would be interesting to address and compare their ways of coping with what happened. Don't be afraid to go dark, if you want to. Anything involving Kefka here would be welcomed, as twisted as you want.

Or, maybe, the day-to-day challenges of two people who used to live with magic. Not all struggles have to be epic!

In the end, I like a lot of things and have very few squicks, so... please don't worry if you have an idea that's only tangentially-related to my prompts - go for it! I'd rather have an awesome fic you enjoyed writing than something that adheres to these ideas! <3

Above everything, enjoy yourself and thank you so much!

I'll be leaving this post at the top of my journal as a sticky-post after a day. :)
