The Last Order, Chapter Two: Beer and the Meaning of Life. first_seventhe and irish_ais.

I like this fic (as a whole) because it's more dialogue-based than other fic I'm writing (especially at the moment), meaning it's a lot more sparse and I have to be careful to keep my pages and pages of exposition out of Jana's inbox. ;) It probably doesn't carry the punch that a 10,000-word chapter of HNtDB does, but 10,000 words will pretty much punch anyone in the face, so it's nice to be just different than that. It's a more refreshing punch and once things get rolling (OMG NEXT CHAPTER!) it should be relatively exciting. I don't think I've ever seen a fic done in which Squall, Rinoa, Quistis, and everybody else basically screw everything up, hard.

Anyway. I promote myself.

Yeah, I more meant "When Squall, Quistis, etc. actually cock things up" as opposed to "When authors totally make a mockery of FF8".

XD
