I give you The Last Order, an FF8 story in which basically everything goes to hell and in the Squall vs Life battle, Life pwns Squall.

OK, it's not quite that depressing, it's full of snark and angst and lots of coffee. But it IS eventually going to deal with something I find fascinating: mistakes. Lots of them. The Orphanage Gang screwing up, for once, and not being able to be super undefeatable heroes. The fact that they're human. That Squall may not really be cut out to be a leader. That no one is perfect. Also, that basically everyone is a caffeine addict. IT ALSO HAS IRVINE.

It's an interesting and awesome pretense, and I hope irish_ais and I can do it justice.
