Yesterday I only went through what was in my Inbox, so if LJ is having a hard time with it (I think it is) then they're not up yet. I don't remember seeing any from you in there so I am going to assume that was it.

It's a writing battle. People are writing things in the comments, which then spawn more comments. You do something like that and I bet you could get hundreds of comments too!

...you need nerdy writer friends, though.

Dude, the first two entries you have have like 50 comments each. Despite what my 740-comment monstrous entry may be trying to tell you, I don't NORMALLY get that many.

heh I always have this idea that if only I wrote better, I would get like 200+ comments per entry. I have about 200 people on my friends list, and maybe 8 comment regularly, a bunch more comment irregularly, and the rest are apparently of the opinion "crap, why did I just read all that? I want my four minutes back."

Usually my comment-boosting comes from hilldo and I being bored at work and boosting a comment thread into the 30s by ourselves. Usually they devolve into random Google-image contests, though, which is probably why no one else talks.
