FFVIII: Odin/Quistis

I know a sixteenth:
If I see a girl
With whom it would please me to play,
I can turn her thoughts, can touch the heart
Of any white armed woman.

"You have bested me in battle, warriors," said Odin, and his voice was like the noise of a condemned man's footsteps on the gallows. "However, I still will not join you."

The three comrades looked at each other in confusion. When one at last stepped forward to question him, it was the woman, the fair valkyrie with hair like Sif's, she who had wielded the stinging whip. Her courage in speaking to him made Odin admire her all the more.

"But you can't do that! You swore to come with us if we defeated you within the time limit stated! Those were the rules, were they not?"

Odin smiled. His trap was nearly sprung; the doe was wandering into the noose he had set for her. Good hunting, indeed!

"Aye, that they were, battle maiden, that they were. But a man who puts his trust in the gods is a fool indeed, the woman who does so an even greater one. I ask a final boon before giving you aid."

The woman glanced back at her partners, obviously unnerved and unsure of what to do. Odin saw the tall one with the scar across his nose nod slightly at her.

"And ... and what might that be, great one?" Such courage! If there was a tremble in her voice it was barely discernible; Odin marveled at the maiden's control. It felt almost a shame to take advantage of her in such a fashion.

"Why, nothing more and nothing less than a kiss from your lips, my child," he said. The naked surprise that unfurled across her face was delicious to behold.
