Date: 2008-05-14 11:37 pm (UTC)My Mother has a phenomenal ability to locate graveyards wherever we go and generally bring out the death angle in everything (I got the Book of the Dead for my 13th birthday and she inadvertently tracks the seasons by the volume of roadkill around) and I do find them really peaceful, apart from the one time she found a very modern graveyard where everyone in it had died under the age of 35. I don't really understand why we Westerners have so many hang ups about death/places associated with it.
Congrats on the classes! I find chocolate does a good job of silencing the fenickity* part that likes to ruin slightly imperfect achievements, though you may prefer gin.
