So in trying to back up my Blackberry before switching to the new model Verizon sent me for free, I ... totally nuked my Blackberry. As in, running the backup program in Desktop Manager ate my OS.

Yup.

Ate my OS. Nuked the entire thing. Does Not Even Turn On. Must reinstall OS. Have wiped everything.

Am very glad I took the time to back up the photos of my kittens.

It's a shame I'm so addicted to this thing; normally I'd be like FUCK YOU AND ALL YOU STAND FOR and instead I'm like giving it mouth-to-mouth all, "Come back to me, baby! Come back to the light!"

My guess is that something was so fubar inside the BB itself -- whose fault it is, I probably will never know now -- that the backup failure is just another symptom of whatever ate my Address Book and made my personal Gmail account into MegaMaid (she's gone from suck to blow!!).

EDIT 1: This means I have to make the epic decision: Use old, newly-reformatted phone, or use new, refurbished, unknown phone?

EDIT 2: This also means I'm declaring TOTAL EMAIL AMNESTY ON MYSELF: fuck, I am so behind on emails, and this is only going to make it worse, so, yeah. Forgive me, etc. Whatev. I gotta reinstall everything anyway.
