Scene to be Worked On Next: "Visit From a Nightmare"
"Research" of the Day: What would Enna eat for breakfast?
Quote of the Day: "Dwarves were harder to heal than humans, which is why I was here. I told myself this again and again, fairly often, but some days it was barely enough."

Character I'm Eager to Write: Klima
Character I'm Finding Difficult: Enna, drat you

IT IS ON SALE. THIS MAKES IT AWESOME.

Also Cel suggested we could use it to track New Valendia, since we now all 3 have it! THIS MEANS WE HAVE NO MORE EXCUSES, JESSY.

You're further than I am, as my prologue was 1,209 words and that's all I got done this weekend. xD But I am writing now, like a furious writing machine while waiting for my templates to come back to me so I can get this FEM done. I even brought my massive pile of notes to work! (and got new headphones since Gasper destroyed mine this weekend, and I need my playlist)

I am at 415 words, and have no outline other than, "Dead Boy and Crazy Girl in Wonderland, and... GO!" In that sense, you win!

I love RMcK. I haven't read Dragonhaven yet, though -- do you recommend it?

Yes, yes I do. ESPECIALLY if you like dragons. It may take a bit to get started,* but once you do you're well-rewarded.

*Without giving too much away, it's 'written' at the perspective of the main character, who is in his teens. It's an odd start not because of terrible writing, but because of that, maybe. Does that make sense?

I mean, like, the story is written believable- like how a teen boy with only typical english classes to fall back on should write.

...Oh just read the damn thing. XD

HA! Found the thread. I heart Google and it's default "don't delete shit forever until you say so."

Anywho, The Blue Sword? Is one of my favorite fucking books ever. First book I read by her, too. That series is just amazing overall.

SO I gotta read Sunshine and Chalice next. :D I don't read enough of her, sadly. The Door in the Hedge I read a month or so ago; that was awesome, too.

I very highly recommend Sunshine. It's an absolutely fantastic read with everything she's so good at (awesome characters, worldbuilding, snark, etc).

The Blue Sword and Hero and the Crown were the first books of hers I read, and I have loved them since like middle school when I picked those up.
