I love the fact that I've literally been training for 9 months to run the 8-mile leg of the Marathon Relay - and run it well, at a 10:00/mile pace - and a double dosage of strep / alternate throat infection / antibiotics for ten days / flu and fevers is really going to basically kill all of the preparation I'd done.
Why even bother, some days? :/

Date: 2010-09-13 06:41 pm (UTC)There is never ANYTHING wrong with getting in shape, even if your goal doesn't pan out. I can't tell you how angry I've been getting lately at girls who refuse to work out because EW WHAT IF I GET HUGE MUSCLES?! Half the girls under the age of 25 I know say this, and it makes me want to smack them every time.
... That was sort of an off-topic tangent. Sorry.

Date: 2010-09-13 06:53 pm (UTC)I put up a Facebook link to the story of this fucking awesome granny and someone replied with, "I'm pretty sure the sight of a woman with more muscles than my father makes me want to vomit." Lady, if I'm in that kind of shape when I'm 73, you can swallow your vomit and go fuck yourself. She's not even grossly overmuscled, she's a goddamned body builder.
re: thin types: bingo.
