Date: 2012-07-16 06:58 pm (UTC)a standard or "Olympic distance" triathlon is 1.5 km swim / 40 km (25 mi) bike / 10K (6.2 mi) run. That's pretty gross, although not entirely unreasonable over the course of a lifetime.
BUT
apparently there are Sprint Triathlons which are 750m (0.47mi) swim / 20K (12mi) bike / 5K (3.1mi) run.
THAT IS ACTUALLY TOTALLY DOABLE
