so it's another week of review with the Overlords, aka 8 hours straight of just meetings, aka shoot me. i had a two hours meeting this morning which, by the time the meeting had run over, we had just decided... what the meeting was going to be / was supposed to be about.

this is the shit i hate.

anyway: Mobile Monday and New Tunes Tuesday are gonna be freeform this week, as in just share anything cool you've done and we'll be back at it next week.

Wow, those meetings sound frustrating! You have my sympathies.

FFBE: I am glad the repeat of the King's Knight raid doesn't have the raid ranking, meaning I can actually sleep through the night. I've heard that in the Japanese version of the game you have 10 raid orbs instead of 5. I really hope they implement that for us soon!

I watched Advent Children last night, which inspired me to finish Sephiroth's Masamune and build him out. He now has 1036 ATK. I'm going to set him as my lead, as I think he'd be more useful than Olive.

I only pulled 7 tickets when the FFIV banner dropped, and got two spoony bards. So I decided to farm LGD rather than ELT, which I'm doing with my Lunera twins, Ace to imperil light for them, the 2 Edwards, and a strong bonus friend unit. But then I noticed that Kain's TMR is really nice, so I pulled a few more tickets... and got two more Edwards. So now I don't know if it'd be more beneficial to run ELT with four bonus units and a carry, or to stick with my LGD team. Right now I'm doing LGD because it burns through NRG faster, and I am busy these days.

On today's daily I got my third Elfreeda! I am happy with this, because it means I can build a TDH unit but Olive can still keep her Marshal Glove, hooray!

FFRK: I got back to this game! I've been taking advantage of the 5 mythril summons they've been doing. I have no idea if I've gotten anything good from them, though, LOL. I don't really understand the gacha yet in that I don't know what's good/bad, what I should be aiming for, etc.

I'm playing Realm dungeons. I've gotten far enough in them so that they are about 35 difficulty. I can still do them but sometimes it gets a bit iffy. I've been frustrated because some of the bosses say "exploit the bosses weakness to wind!" and I don't have any wind abilities, nor can I make any. I've been lazy and instead of taking a team from that realm, I've just been using the same party of my PC record keeper, Noctis (I took off his sleeping prince thingy), Tifa, Aerith and Lenna. They get the job done.

I'm wondering if there are any short-term events I should be doing. Also, I can't figure out how to change my roaming warrior. I did it once, but couldn't find it again.

Mobius FF - I got back to this game, too! I've doing the Lightning event. I really adore Wol and how snarky he is. Though I am confused because people keep using my friend card and I get friend tickets but I have no idea what they're used for? I see the total I have in my profile but there's no where to click to use them? So confusing. I'm only playing this enough to meet the daily challenge, so it's slow going but at least I am playing.

FF Dissidia OO - got back to this one as well! I'm slowly doing chapter 4. I just do the five missions a day for the daily challenges. Last time I think I said I was confused because missions wanted me to use Penelo and I didn't have her yet and couldn't see how to get her, but I figured that out (I needed to level Vaan and unlock a gate). so I'm making slow progress but hey, progress is progress.

I'm still logging into FATE/GO and KHUX daily to get login bonuses, but haven't been playing. I hope to get back to them. Out of the two, FATE/GO interests me more so I'll make that a priority.

I love the idea of you New Tunes Tuesday, but I can't really play along because I am a bore who just listens to Final Fantasy music all the time. Though since I watched Gravitation the past few days, I've got the music from that anime stuck in my brain. This is not a bad thing.

FFBE - I’m now two days behind in raid and MK, but I’ve at least been able to build easy kill teams. I have Kunshira carrying my FFIV team, and holy shit, she’s a boss. I love her! And while I love your Olive I’m also happy to have a Sephiroth as chaining partner :)

FFRK - I’m on mobile now but I iwill be happy to write out some general details on rl ice, and specifics if you let me know what you got!!

And re: music, if you have any cool remixes or versions or anything I am sure my FList would be interested :)

As a note: there's a Summer Fest coming up that will have some great relic banners, so what I would do is focus as much as you can on realm dungeons to collect mythril, and then do a 50-mythril pull or two on one of those banners. You're still collecting general tools, and that will be a really good time to do so.

OK, starting with Ultras, since they usually have the most interesting effects...

- Cid's USB Ferdinand is meant to be used with the fire machinist abilities. The En-Fire will make them more powerful, and it looks like there's a chase on it which is basically "free damage", so that's good.
- Penelo's USB is amazing heals. This is a real winner! It's INSTANT cast, party heal, 2000 HP Stock (free HP basically), AND physical Blink! Definitely focus on her and this moving forward, level her a lot, this will really help you through content! Penelo's a useful white mage too because not only can she heal, she can dance, to add debuffs to the enemy. Medica is HUGE early in the game so it's really good that you have this!

Echo's BSB entry is another medica and a Magic/Res buff! So if you have a team of mages, it will buff their damage. Sadly the burst commands aren't great on it, although C2 is Magic breakdown, which is super useful on early bosses doing magic damage.

Queen's OSB has two elements (lightning and dark), so she can take advantage of those weaknesses. She's a spellblade, and I think she can also Lifesiphon to build SB gauge.

With the others:
- Red's Magic Comb does damage and delivers SHELLGA, which is great for when you can't fit it into your team
- Arc's White Mage Robe is another instant heal with a physical blink; Penelo's is objectively better because it carries more, but Arc's a great healer and can also summon

also my general thoughts on relics:

- pull for realms where you don't have much synergy

- buffs are critical; stacking buffs is incredibly powerful, so banners focused on buffs or with relics that have huge buffs on them are always worth pulling for

- pulling for favorite characters is legit

- never pull for just one relic, you'll be sad; pull on banners that are generally cool

- you'll be able to get farther in early game with a couple more BSBs; they're unlimited uses while they're active, so they can help clear trash rounds and take the pressure off of your hones.
