Current investment in furthering my education:

Time: 2 credit hours
Cost: ~$800
Learned: Not too much

To go: Way too much

Ugh. Why am I doing this again?

I asked myself this right before I dropped out of graduate school in Germany. So far I haven't looked back. Except to think something along the lines of: "Well, there's about 1,000 euros wasted and gone that I'll never get back. Thank god I'm in Europe and not the US. Oh, wait, if I was in the US, that might have actually passed for an education and not a comedy of errors."

And, that IS a funky doodle do icon, isn't it. :P

More funky icons

Yeah, pretty much. I can't really get out of it because - unofficially, of course - I'm pretty sure they hired me on condition of getting my MS. I'm the only engineer / scientist / EMPLOYEE AT RESEARCH who only has a Bachelor's. Now, to me, that says that since I'm doing my job perfectly well, maybe I don't need the MS. But, y'know, the higher-ups don't see it that way.

But yeah. Unbeknownst to many, I am really a lazy blob.

What were you going back for?

Doctorate (equivalent of a Ph.D, somehow) in Graphic Design. I have, currently, only a B.A. in Studio Art by US standards.

All sorts of shit flew through the air over here when I started. I can list it in a rough, thinned order for you:

Actually, I just realized how long it got, so I'm going to make this a link rather than risk the 3,000 word limit. ^^;
