It snowed last night, not enough for solid coverage but just enough to sprinkle the ground with white. Driving to work this morning, it finally felt like winter, and possibly a little bit like the holidays.

I love snow.*

It's so very very pretty outside. As long as the roads stay fine, I will be a happy, happy Sev.

*What I hate is the fucking wind. Walking around in the cold I can deal with no problem; it's the wind that bites through your clothes that I despise. "Chilled to the bone" is not just a fantasy phrase for me -- it actually happens.

It's not even snowing here and I totally understand the bit about being chilled to the bone. Mind you, I get that all year round. GR.

It's a horrible feeling! I'm super sensitive to cold because of my lungs, but usually I can take cold without the wind. But I seriously will get in the car and not be able to move for 5 minutes from being so cold! UGH.

Awww, lucky. I live in Los Angeles so our winter is enough Christmas lights to be seen from space and warm weather instead of hot. It snowed two years ago when I lived in NorCal and it was - well, awesome. I never thought I'd be able to get in a snowball fight with Jeff on my driveway.

I really like the snow! I think I would miss it if I didn't have it. (However, ask me how much i like snow at 6am when cleaning off my car, and I'll answer quite differently. XD)

I've always wondered what it was like to live in a place that had four true seasons (instead of two or one) - and not in a place where I have to constantly worry about a drought and water conservation. My mom tells me I wouldn't ever want to live where it snowed - and now that I'm a wimp when it comes to the cold, she might be right, but I don't know. I've always loved the snow. Skiing, snowboarding, ice skating - they've always been my sports and yeah now I'm all nostalgic. Nothing but blue skies here. 9_9

They used to say Buffalo had four seasons: winter, still winter, still fucking winter, and construction. :D

Sometimes I wish I lived in a place with less winter, but I still enjoy it when it first comes.

Haha!

And I say now that I wish there was more of a winter where I live, but in truth I'm a wimp. I get really whiny at 20 degrees and would probably die if I had to deal with colder on a daily basis.

I'm a wimp in the cold too. :P I'm a horrible hypocritical person who really likes snow... from the warmth of her living room!

Yeah, teh freezing is here too.

And the wind. Luckily I'm not up in West Laff (with Real College) or it would be worse (there are hills here... there is ONE hill there...)

I was actually wondering last night why I always equated Cleveland = wind -- whether it was actually more windy here than in Buffalo, or if it was just that I'd spent an ungodly number of years walking to class in the bitter wind and cursing myself, in Cleveland.

Yup, I'm not in much of a Christmasy mood lately, so while I enjoy the snow's beauty, I don't enjoy how dirty everything my touched by shoes gets, and also how my brand new car is already covered in salt.

Now where is the Sir Hilldo episode? :D

OH MY GOD, I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE NEW SIR HILLDO.

The same here tonight although much more than a dusting. I love watching the snow pile down...it made the Christmas lights so much more lovely to see them reflected in snow.

Now I'm just crossing my fingers that I'll have a snow day tomorrow. (Teachers secretly wish for snow days too, I've discovered.)

I think everyone secretly wishes for snow days. Sometimes even my job gives a 2-hour snow delay, and I get really excited on mornings where this might be the case. ^^
