I don't like studying!

EDIT P.S. We're all having contest at work looking at our 401Ks and seeing who has lost the highest percent this year. It's kind of a running joke, because if you're not laughing, you're crying. I know there isn't much point to looking at your 401K too often when you're 26, and I know that we're all actually in good shape because we're buying low right now, but I can't stop looking. It's hilarious.

I know that in a year or two, when the economy has recovered, I will be VERY pleased when all the shares I am buying now at cheap prices have skyrocketed back to their normal averages!

Last week, though, I hit -40%. One guy up the street was at, like, -55%.

Yikes, 55% means you need to look at what makes up your 401k, as it is not diversified. I think as of friday I was down 30, most of which I bet was erased on monday.

This is the biggest period of market fraud ever, so just be glad your investments really are long term and tha you aren't retiring right now.
