Man, and here's me about to emulate Chrono Trigger.

(Should I put Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross at the top of the list?)

I would love to see you play CT! It is a really, really, REALLY AWESOME GAME. I don't know anything about what's coming out on the DS, or when (obviously). I have the SNES version from way back once upon a time, and the PS version.

Crono Cross I am torn on. I've heard it's a really cool game, but I never personally got into it that much.

Chrono Cross is what got my little sister into video games. And I used an Air Force printer to illegally print a game guide for it.

I thought it was basically awesome. But it has a Harlequin speaking in a French accent, which basically makes my life (I wish I were kidding, but as she as she appeared my life was awesome).

Also, the soundtrack.

The soundtrack for CC is AMAZING. I think the fault was that there were too many characters to choose from. It should have just been Lynx, Harle and Glenn fighting around the world ;)

I do agree there were too many, but then, I just focused on a few my first playthrough and then tried the other combinations in the New Game+.

Plus, having someone around that fights with a frying pan cracked my shit up. And I only got it the second time around because Kidd was so freaking aggressive in being in the party (which obviously, means she's Plot Important, but STILL).

I didn't even get that far. I kind of failed at the beginning and gave up.

I didn't like Cross much either...the first time. Then, years later, I heard some samples of the soundtrack, and I couldn't believe I forgot them. I ended up replaying the whole game for basically the music, and this time I liked it a lot. Still too many characters and not enough connections to Trigger, but a good story, and a neat battle system.

(And did I mention the soundtrack? Because jesus.)

Hmm. Well, I know I have it. Perhaps at some point it will have to come out of the box and back into my life...
