...yes, I love the feeling of someone stabbing me with a knife right in-between my vertebrae.

I also love when the pain walks down my back, so I having to keep unsticking and resticking the heating pad. That's an awesome new trick!

(I also love when I almost blow up the heating pad in the microwave, but since that one is at least my fault, I'll let it slide.)

That sucks!! The only advice I have is that Tiger Balm, the sports rub stuff? has saved my LIFE when it comes to back/shoulder/knee pain. I'm sure it's for stuff not nearly as serious as yours is, and all that jazz, but maybe it'll take the edge off? I don't know! I wish there was something more I could do than make lame-ass suggestions, haha. Have you tried IcyHot patches? Those might do something... or nothing... arg! :/
