(yes it's tuesday, but i had a hecking colonoscopy yesterday, so we're doing both of my posts today)

happy Mobile Game Monday! What's in your wallet?

[FFRK] - last week was ridic so i haven't been doing much except sporadically farming orbs, until yesterday... when i took another stab at Dark Dragon Magicite and suddenly found myself with a sub-30 clear thanks to Orlandeau USB and two copies of Assault Sabre plus Agrias OSB. Dang! I managed to skip the Fang that usually instant KOs a character consistently, so now I have to rework my strategy (which was based on sacrificing Shelke) to be even more consistent, and then I have a great way to farm dem Dark Orbs.

I haven't gotten many great relics from the 5-myth Realm Parade draw, but I did land braska USB and Vanille LMR, as well as Relm USB which looks pretty promising. (not as promising: Strago OSB, a couple dupes, and some SSBs.) I have some vague ideas for starting to rebuild my elemental teams, meaning SPREADSHEETS,,,,,, why do I exist

I need to catch up on events this week, as well as continue on Torments -- I took a break once I found out I had more time, but I need to keep pushing on them because it's less than a month now!

There's supposedly a great Summer Fest coming up, so resist the urge and save that mythril!!

[FFBE] - the grind continues. I have had little luck on banners lately, but I did end up with the cute witch from the Nichol banner and managed to pull Lotus Mage Fina (I've now gone from Tilith to Ayaka to LM Fina; I have healers out the ass). I'm sitting on 5000 lapis and I want to pull on the Nichol banner again for the trust moogles, BUT I am sitting on it until the anniversary.

I'm finishing up the ongoing events; only grinding the raid until I get enough Dark Orbs to craft a second sword, and then I'm done with that. I'm still grinding Mog King FFIV for some of the TMs, the burst pots, and the cactuars, but that's all I have left. (Ended up with a party of Yangs + Kunshira for my clear team, plus the highest % unit I can find on my FList.) Then next is that story event, who will compete for stamina with my desire to actually finish chapter 1 of the fucking story mainly to treat Fryevia with that 100% moogle, yes yes.

Also need to finish enhancing Frye and consider enhancing Reberta. She looks like a really fun powerhouse, but her enhancements are soooooo expensive...

[LN] - I got super behind on this due to the crazy last week and my butt-prep weekend. I'm really at this point just trying to do dailies and farm for the outfits I have listed until I have some more mental space to advance it. I'm almost into the last chapter in Maiden so that's going well at least.

Currently I have repicked up Bravely Default-- I had forgotten how much I loved the characters

lassarina has been trying to get me to play Bravely Default for a while; I'm really interested, just gotta find the time. What sort of gameplay is it?

It's the Job system but there is also the fact that you can tailor the job based on other jobs you've leveled. I have my Knight whose pretty much Cecil, with his tanking abilities and white magic, then I have my Theif who can throw out Black Magic when needed.

I really am liking it so far.

And the characters are amazing. Edea is my girl!

ok i really enjoy customizable job systems? i like differentiating characters, but also like, having some flexibility overall. damnit, i need another game like i need another back problem

You will find that Bravely Default is HIGHLY Customizable-- I think you'd like it so much!

And yes, my backlog just grows and grows

Bravely Default is by the same company that made the FF3 and FF4 DS remakes.

FFRK - I spent FIVE HOURS on Saturday night doing TWENTY-SIX realm dungeons so I could get Penelo. I have no regrets. Though now I don’t know what to do next. I did some Type-0 realm dungeons since [Bad username or unknown identity: “lassarina”] posted about the game itself. That was...interesting. I did dungeon 2, right, which was the coeurls, then did dungeon 3 which was Golem BUT WAIT when I was playing Type-0 I beat the Golem but have yet to encounter the Coeurls so I missed them somehow HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE. I’ve been playing Type-0 mostly without a walkthrough. I think I will have to restart with a walkthrough because clearly I missed something, geez.

Anyway - still doing the daily 5 mythril pull and have more shinies now, though nothing really jumped out at me as being good.

Where do you get the crystals for breaking level cap? I have some characters near 50 and want to level them up more.

FFBE- I beat Kain today, after six or seven attempts. Party was Noctis, Basch, Ayaka, Sephiroth and an Orlandeau friend. I’ve got oodles of currency from King Mog, so I need to spend it and see if I want to farm more or if i’m done. Still poking at the raid, I want the king pots. At the very least, the power pot for Sephiroth. I’ll probably start the story event tomorrow.

Those were my focus this week - still logging in other games for daily login rewards but haven’t really played any.

1) YAY FOR PENELO!! now that you have her, you have a top-tier healer USB that will really help carry you through a lot of content. The best thing you can do ATM is continue to work through realm dungeons, to get new characters, mythril, and STAMINA. Definitely work your way through the weekly events as far as you can, and don't be afraid to use high-damage RWs to carry you through the tougher levels in a weekly event to get rewards! I'm happy to put up a SMASH THINGS RW if you ever need one.

on the Home screen, there's a little button/arrow that says The Annex - that's where the memory crystals reside. You can exchange for them there. To use them, that's the "Break Level Cap" button in your Upgrade screen.

and lol re: type-0 -- Rina has been chatting and posting about stuff and I'm like "uhhhhhhhhh i missed that" as well.

If I played FFRK-- I'd probably waste five hours to get Penelo and not be sorry, because it's Penelo-- and she's the awesomesauce.

She is indeed awesomesauce, especially her special ability in FFRK. I've just gotten her and already her soul break has saved my butt a few times.

Coeurl cave is a sidequest you can do during the first or second break time!

Ah, glad it's a sidequest. Still think I might start over, though, as I'm not happy with how my play through is going. It will have to wait until after the Fiesta, though.

Summer banner incoming for Fire Emblem Heroes. No luck getting any of the focus units from the Scattered Fangs banner, but that is okay. I got a 5* Alm, and I have been wanting him for a good while (... though not as much as Celica, since I already have almost all of her friends from previous banners). But! The summer banner has two Sacred Stones characters, and I am hoping to get at least one of them (Tana, ideally).

Memoria Freese has its Grand Day event going, and it is giving out a ton of free stuff. Would be a great time to start playing for anybody who has been interested in trying it.

Tried Girls Frontline, and ... no. Production values are good, translation is a lot better than I expected, but I was not comfortable with the amount of personal information the game wanted from me. I mean, the game is anime-styled, but the company behind it is 100% Chinese.

Pre-registered for Star Ocean: Anamnesis. *sighs* I am a masochist, but I will happily play that if it means I can get SO2 characters.

What sort of game is Memoria Freese?

It's a lite JRPG gacha game based on the novel-based anime *deep breath* Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? (... Danmachi for short). Best for fans of the show (like me), but designed for casual play; it is easy to play for free, and the game gatekeeps very little.
