One True Pairing Ship: Selphie/Irvine. Hands down. Yes, I'm lame. Alternate: Quistis/Rinoa.

Canon Ship: Squall/Rinoa, if done well.

"If this happens I'll stab my eyes out with a spork" Ship: Squall/Rinoa with too much romantic crap; Seifer/Anyone in which there is romantic crap.

"You are one sick bastard" Ship: Two choices: Quistis/Laguna (the age squicks some) or Squall/Ellone (not really incest, but enough to weird some people out)

"I dabble a little" Ship: Quistis/Rinoa. More than a little. >.>

"It's like a car crash" Ship: does Seifer/Irvine count here? They crash so good.

"Tickles my fancy but not sold just yet" Ship: ...I am an FFVIII whore and am pretty much willing to accept any pairing because they're all so pretty. So I'll put Irvine/Rinoa and Selphie/Squall here instead: I'd love them if they were good, but a lot of time authors miss the ball.

"Makes no canon sense but why the Hell not" Ship: Selphie/Seifer. I ship this like burning. I don't know why. Also Quistis/Laguna. Or Zell/Ellone.

"Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" Ship: Squall/Seifer? *prepares to get lynched* I just ...I'm never really drawn to the rival!ships. I love the Squall-Seifer relationship but for some reason it never goes into sex for me.

"When all is said and done" Ship: Seifer/Quistis, Quistis/Rinoa. Irvine/Hat.

I won't lynch you for not liking Squall/Seifer! I used to like it, but not anymore. They just don't seem to quite... fit. I love the way they interact, though.

Squall/Seifer to me is much like other rival!ships: it's just very hard for my brain to jump from the "hate hate yelling hate competition" into sexx0rz/buttsexx0rz. I like it when well-written, though, because I especially LOVE the Seifer-Squall dynamic in a lot of ways!

And if you throw someone else in there - say, Seifer/Rinoa/Squall - I'm basically sold. *is a ho*

I have seen no Seifer/Rinoa/Squall. Do you have links? This sounds so hot I think my pants could burst into flames.

I too am a member of the "eh?" squad when it comes to Seifer/Squall. I know that there's a fine line between love and hate etc but...they really, really hate each other. Quistis/Laguna and Quistis/Rinoa both have such a lot of scope, I love them when well written.

Well, my brain just tends to fail on most rival!ships, and maybe that's just because it's hard to turn that strong emotion into something where pr0nz would be believable.

Quistis/Laguna -- I have about 10,000 words of this in my brain somewhere. >.>
